Waterlogged, but fine
Hooray! I FINALLY got in touch with those two. They spent three nights total at their friends' place in a nother part of Orlando. Mom and Jim's home is OK; there is no new damage from the most recent storm. Jim said that the rain was like nothing he had ever seen. It was absolutely torrential. They only lost power for about twelve hours, which I think is pretty impressive.
Whew!

Glad you finally heard from them and that they weathered the storm well. Maybe Ivan will take a huge right turn and miss the US altogether.

I'm so glad things turned out well for them... and it was probably a wise decision to have a drink or two, since if they were thrown around by the storm they would be 'relaxed' and not hurt themselves. ;-)
