Tough morning.

Guess who asked their husband if he had a girlfriend this morning?

((waves hand in the air frantically))

Oh, he denied it profusely, of course. But things look too fishy for me to believe him. Who calls a work associate ONLY when his wife isn't home? Or at 5am? Or makes vague plans to be gone the whole weekend in said co-worker's city? And when that person's voice mail says they are going to be out of the office for the exact same time my husband is?

Hmm. Suddenly I'm not in such a hurry to move out and give him the "privacy" he requested.

Fucker.

((puts feet up on coffee table and gets comfy on the couch))

Aha! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I've found in the past that men's clothing makes for a nice backyard bonfire.

I'm very sorry. :( And no, I wouldn't move out. If he wants "privacy," let HIM move out. Why should you have to leave so he can be an arse?

I don't think you should budge until you have a job.
How could someone who *used* to want to spend their life with you begrudge you that.
Really...its the least he could do.

Dig your heels in, Lisa. I was thinking the same thing as Measi, if privacy is so important to him now, why doesn't he get a six month lease somewhere?

Does he think you're TOTALLY stupid or what? Get really comfortable on that couch, sister, and be prepared to camp out for a while...all I have to say is WHAT A JACKASS. And how INCREDIBLY STUPID he is for giving you up, Lisa. Now, it's time to make him pay (God, I sound so evil there) or at least have a little fun at his expense!

HOUSE PARTY!!!!!!!

Posted by: Stacy at July 8, 2005 02:53 PM

You know, Stacy and Michelle and I will so show up and be all over the place draping ourselves on the couch and passing cocktails and munchies (LOTS OF MEAT SNACKS! COCKTAIL WEENIES GALORE!) and intimidate his ass.

You hang in there, girl, and if you need to escape, I'm only 25 minutes away and you have the number.

What a jerk.

Why again do YOU have to move out???? What's the deal with that? He wants a divorce, he moves out. Isn't that the way it works?

Of course he has a girlfriend. No ratfink man will leave one woman who takes care of him unless he's got another one lined up to continue taking care of him.

I hate men.

Talk to your lawyer. You have rights, including the right to stay put. His new lover could also explain the reason he lawyered up so quickly. In some states, you have more property and maintenance
rights if you can prove he's cheating.

Good for you. Don't make it easy on him.

and yes... in regards to the post above this one - ask for everything you can. Never know if his guilty conscious will help you.
